LEMA also gave other advice to residents including: If you have a pet, see if a friend or relative will take it in, otherwise, check with the cooling location if they will allow you to bring in a pet. Do not leave any animal unattended in a motor vehicle or enclosed trailer when the outside temperature exceeds 86 degrees Fahrenheit, or contain any animal so it does not have proper air circulation while confined.
