Country Western Casino Fundraiser Planned At Kopping Farms

LEMONT, IL — Holistic Riding Equestrian Therapy will hold its annual Country Western Casino fundraiser on Sept. 28 from 5 to 11 p.m. at Kopping Farms, 12300 115th St., in Lemont. The fundraiser will include a performance from "Strawdawg," line dancing instruction from "Boot Scootin' Judy" Rice, a silent auction and raffles.

Event organizers said proceeds from the fundraiser will launch a capital campaign to build a new ADA-compliant, climate-controlled, year-round riding and teaching facility.

Ticket sales are $125 in advance for the fundraiser.

Holistic Riding Equestrian Therapy helps to improve the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social aspects in the lives of individuals with special needs and veterans. HRET offers a variety of skill appropriate classes meeting the needs of preschoolers on ponies to independent riders on program safe horses.
