Craft Beer Tasting Hosted By Lockport, Silver Cross Foundation
The Tangled Roots Beer Tasting Fundraiser will be held on Sept. 8, from 5 to 9 p.m, at Lock & Mule restaurant.
LOCKPORT, IL — The City of Lockport has once again partnered with the Silver Cross Foundation to host the Tangled Roots Beer Tasting Fundraiser on Sept. 8, from 5 to 9 p.m. The event, co-chaired by Mayor Steve Streit and Wendy Streit, will take place at Lock & Mule restaurant in downtown historic Lockport to benefit Silver Cross Hospital, according to a release from the hospital.
“Lockport is thrilled to be a part of this fundraiser once again this year,” Wendy Streit said in a release. “Silver Cross is a vital resource to our community and what better way to support the hospital than by holding a fundraiser to help advance patient care?”
Tickets are $55 and include four distinct craft beers, one additional drink ticket, savory starters and sweets prepared by Lock & Mule, according to a release. Participants can choose from three tasting times: 5:15, 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. with a Tangled Roots Brew Master; seating is limited.

A silent auction will also take place throughout the night for exclusive items including vintage gold and silver jewelry, event tickets, autographed sports memorabilia, framed artwork and much more.
Raffle Tickets will also be sold in advance and at the event for $20 for a variety of experiences, services and unique items. Winner need not be present. Sponsorships are also available and range from $250 to $5,000 and include pre- and post-event recognition and event tickets.
