The district and board recently hosted four information sessions in September and October.
“We look forward to sharing more information about the upcoming referendum vote and how it would help address many of the district’s most pressing needs. Administrators and board members will also be on hand to answer community members’ questions and provide clarification wherever needed,” said Dr. Anthony McConnell, District 113A Superintendent.
The referendum would not lead to an effective property tax increase for district residents.
Although the board does propose a $0.29 operating rate increase, this amount would be offset by a reduction in the levy for the debt service fund. As a result, taxpayers would realize a net decrease of approximately 6.8 percent in the District 113A portion of their property tax bills.
