D113A Board Thanks Voters After Referendum Projected To Fail
The board said dialogue must continue and it is going to continue conversations with the community about the future of the district.

LEMONT, IL — With 100 percent of precincts reporting in both DuPage and Cook counties, the referendum from District 113A is projected to fail. The referendum asked voters for an operating tax increase of 29 cents, which the district said would have been used to reopen Central School and introduce full-day kindergarten.
In a statement from the Board of Education, the board thanked residents "for their consideration of the solution presented to voters Nov. 3."
"We were pleased to have the chance to engage in open dialogue with community members
about the opportunities and challenges that we face together. Although the referendum we
presented was not approved last night, we thank everyone for their support of our schools," the board said.
