New Trustee Appointed To Lemont Township Board

The Township Board welcomes Debby who was among ten candidates who applied to fill the recently vacated position. Debby has twenty years experience as a former Village Trustee, Her close relationships will be invaluable to the Township. Supervisor Rosendahl reported that he encouraged all who applied to seek a position on the Township Board in the next general election.

All Township officials are up for reelection next Spring. The Township is responsible for General assistance/Human Services, Senior programs, property tax appeals & Road & Bridge for the unincorporated areas of Lemont.

Rosendahl said, "he was very pleased and encouraged by the response to fill the unexpired term of Gregory Gilbertson," adding that "Lemont needs this type of willing leaders, especially in these trying times."
