Community Corner

Did you hear the sounds of Christmas?

Wednesday night friends of Hope and Friendship Foundation visited friends of Hope and Friendship Foundation with sweet songs and treats.

On Wednesday night many homes in Lemont saw love in action.
So many gathered, then set out to bring love, healing, and compassion to some friends within our corner of the world.

Friends of Hope and Friendship Foundation of all ages, visited grieving friends, friends who were experiencing major hardship, and then ended the night by visiting many of our seniors that were thrilled with
the sweet sounds and sweet treats that were shared with them for the 2nd Mission Stay Caroling Night. This was created as an outreach to bring the spirit and love of Christmas to those in our community who are experiencing incredible difficulty, loss, and sadness. Knowing that not everyone welcomes Christmas this group has set forth to try and put a little brightness and love in a very dark time.

Thank you does not sum up my expression of appreciation for putting this on
your busy busy calendar. We saw many tears on Wednesday night, but those were
truly tears of gratitude and appreciation for the gift of love that was given to them.
Thank you for trying to heal some hurting hearts.
Wishing you the peace, love and compassion of the true meaning of Christmas just as you shared on this night, Terri (the very blessed person who gets to witness and walk with angels)
