Discover Watercolor At Lemont Artists Guild Meeting

Capturing the medium's transparent elegance

The April 17th Lemont Artists Guild meeting, will begin at 7 PM at the Homer Township Public Library, 14320 W 151st St, Homer Glen, IL . Dan Danielson will demonstrate his watercolor techniques. Dan’s fascination with watercolor began at the American Academy of Art, studying under well renown, Irving Shapiro. After an exciting creative director career in advertising, Dan began painting full-time and teaching.

In 2018 Danielson won a spot in the prestigious National Transparent Watercolor Show in with his watercolor of a hippopotamus. Currently, Dan teaches at the DuPage Art League and other regional groups. He is a member of the DuPage Art League and the Illinois Watercolor Society.

Dan continues to develop his colorist, regionalism style, while allowing the medium the freedom to reveal its unique qualities of brilliance and fluidity. Capturing the medium’s transparent elegance and strength is an enjoining odyssey and a heck of a lot of fun.
