
LEMONT, IL — Lemont District 113A shares board briefs on its website after every board meeting. For the May 15 meeting, the board shared several items, some of which can be found below.
The board recognized several students for various achievments including:
- TREP Safety Poster contest winners
- OQMS girls softball team
- Students recognized by the Illinois Principals Association
The District 113A Educational Foundation also awarded grants to a number of teachers throughout the district, according to the briefs.

The board approved the resignation of several staff members, including:
- Joseph Trsar, Oakwood assistant principal, effective June 30
- Daniel Zmarzlinski, Old Quarry Spanish teacher, effective May 30
- Carolyn Beil, Old Quarry social worker, effective May 30
- Michelle Anderson, Oakwood/River Valley instructional paraprofessional, effective May 2
The board also took several actions, including approving the hiring of Old Quarry principal Joseph Sweeney; approving a contractor for the OQMS small gym flooring; and approving the District 113A consolidated plan.
