District 113A School Calendar 2019-20: First Day, Breaks

LEMONT, IL — Lemont-Bromberek District 113A students will soon head back to school for the 2019-20 school year. District 113A has released its school calendar for the year, which is full of important dates to remember for both parents and students.

The calendar includes dates like winter and spring break, holidays, conferences and half days. Here is the list of days you should know for this school year:

August

• Aug. 14 - First day of school

September

• Sept. 2 - Labor Day, no school
• Sept. 3 - Teacher Institute, no school

October

• Oct. 14 - Columbus Day, no school
• Oct. 31 - School Improvement Day, half-day of school

November

• Nov. 6 - End of first trimester
• Nov. 14, 15 - Parent teacher conferences, no school
• Nov. 25-29 - Thanksgiving holiday, no school

December

• Dec. 20 - School improvement day, half-day of school. Winter break begins at end of day.

January

• Jan. 6 - Teacher Institute, no school
• Jan. 7 - Classes resume
• Jan. 20 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school

February

• Feb. 6 - School improvement day, half-day of school
• Feb. 17 - Presidents Day, no school
• Feb. 21 - End of second trimester

March

• March 27 - School improvement day, half-day of school. Spring break begins at end of day.

April

• April 6 - Classes resume from spring break.
• April 10 - No school
• April 20 - School improvement day, half-day of school

May

• May 14 - School improvement day, half-day of school
• May 21 - Eighth grade graduation
• May 22 - Tentative last day of school
