Downtown Lemont Walking Tour Planned By Historical Society
The tour will take you through downtown Lemont, and you will learn about the history of the buildings and people of Lemont.

LEMONT, IL — If you're interested in learning some history about Lemont, you can join the Lemont Historical Society's downtown walking tour on Aug. 27. The tour will begin at the Old Stone Church, 306 Lemont St., and will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The tour is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 per child. You can pay at the start of the tour; cash or check only, according to the event page.
The tour will take you through downtown Lemont, and you will learn about the history of the buildings and people of Lemont, according to the historical society page. Tour highlights include the remains of an old quarry, one of the oldest train stations still in operation in Illinois, and sections of the Illinois & Michigan Canal.

The tour is mostly on level ground, but does include one flight of steps at two locations.
