The following information is from the Lemont Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Dec. 7

  • A juvenile was arrested at 3:12 a.m. and charged with no valid driver's license (never issued), speeding 26-34 mph over the limit and operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop at Lemont and Bluff roads. The juvenile was issued a Jan. 15 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
  • A juvenile was issued a local ordinance citation for retail theft at 1:03 p.m. following an incident in the 13400 block of Archer Avenue. The juvenile will appear in local court.

  • Walter Popovich, 61, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 1:52 a.m. and charged with DUI-alcohol, driving while license suspended/revoked, operating an uninsured vehicle, no front registration plate and unsafe equipment following a traffic stop at Front Street and Ed Bossert Drive. Popovich was taken to Cook County Jail for a bond hearing.
  • Mark Fedyn, 27, of the 300 block of Wheeler Drive, was arrested at 5:24 a.m. and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, improper lane use, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured vehicle and disorderly conduct following an incident in the 100 block of Stephen Street. Fedyn was issued a Jan. 17 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Dec. 13

  • A juvenile was issued a local ordinance citation at 12:43 p.m. for possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident in the 800 Block of Porter Street. The juvenile will appear in local court.
