LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Village Board approved final plans for a duplex-style two-family residence at 512 Illinois St. and 513 Porter St. at Monday's meeting.
The duplex unit will be constructed on the vacant lot behind an existing 4-unit multi-family building at 512 Illinois St., Community Development Manager Mark Herman said. The applicant for the project owns both 512 Illinois St. and 513 Porter St.
Board documents state the new unit will front Porter Street.

The board approved the final planned unit development at Monday's meeting, and the preliminary planned unit development was approved in February 2021, according to board documents.
The planning and zoning commission also unanimously recommended approval of the project.

Plans call for both units to have two bedrooms and two and a half baths. The final plans for the project have not changed since the preliminary approval, except the addition of conditions for adding parkway trees and residing and re-roofing the existing 4-unit building on Illinois Street, board documents state.
