LEMONT, IL - With Easter right around the corner, Easter Egg Hunts are popular events for kids, teens and even adults. Here are the Easter Egg Hunts happening in your area.
Friday, April 7
Lemont
- Teen Flashlight Eggstravaganza. 7 to 8 p.m. at Centennial Park, 16028 W. 127th St., Lemont. Grab your flashlights, friends, and a bag for eggs so you can hunt for eggs in the dark! There will be over 1,000 eggs filled with candy, prizes, and tickets to WIN BIG.

- Grown-Up Moonlight Egg Hunt. 8 to 9 p.m. at Centennial Park, 16028 W. 127th St., Lemont. Bring your flashlights, friends, and a bag for your eggs! This free event will feature many great prizes for adults ages 18 and up.
La Grange
- Tween Flashlight Egg Hunt. 8 to 8:30 p.m. at Sedgewick Park, 48th Street and 10th Avenue, La Grange. Bring your flashlight and baskets and get ready for a great night looking for eggs filled with candy and tickets that represent prizes too big to fit in an egg. Must be accompanied by a parent. The fee is $5 per child.

- H20 Egg-Venture. 12 to 3 p.m. at The CORE Fitness & Aquatic Complex, 16050 127th St., Lemont. Join for the 8th annual Egg-Venture at the CORE! This is a FREE event you won't want to miss; instead of running for eggs, you will dive for eggs. You MUST register for this event. The Easter Bunny will also make a special appearance.
La Grange
- Easter Egg Hunt. 10 to 10:30 a.m. at Sedgewick Park, 48th Street and 10th Avenue, La Grange. Easter eggs will be spread all over and a golden ticket will be hidden amongst them! Each age group will have a designated area. Come early for your pictures with the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny will be on location for pictures from 9:30 a.m.– 10:45 a.m. Please bring your own camera for pictures! Rain location: Recreation Center, 536 East Avenue. Sponsored by Pet People and The Dental Loft.
Thursday, April 13
Elmhurst
- Flashlight Egg Hunt in Wilder Park. 8 p.m. Teens, grab your flashlights and join for the teens only Flashlight Egg Hunt in Wilder Park. Join your friends in the frenzy as you search for prize eggs filled with candy, gift certificates and other great prizes. This event is free and ages 11-16 are welcome.
Friday, April 14
Lockport
- Egg-Streme H20 Adventure. 5 to 7 p.m. at Challenge Fitness, 2021 S. Lawrence Ave., Lockport. $10 for residents, $13 for non-residents.
Clarendon Hills
- Annual Easter Egg Hunt. 10:50 a.m. for 3 to 4 year olds. 11:10 a.m. for 5 to 8 year olds. 11:30 a.m. for 9 to 12 year olds. Meet at Clarendon Hills Middle School, and then head to Prospect Park. Bring your basket to fill with colorful eggs. Many eggs have a special prize, so make sure you check each egg before you leave. Meet at CH Middle School to be led out to the park for the hunt. In case of inclement weather, the hunt will be held indoors.
Saturday, April 15
Darien
- Easter Egg Hunt. 9 a.m. at Darien Community Park (Plainfield and Clarendon Hills Road) and Westwood Park (75th Street and Fairview). Mr. Easter Bunny will be leaving eggs for all Darien children ages 2-8. Don’t forget to bring a bag to collect your eggs in!
Elmhurst
- Egg Hunt in Wilder Park. 10 a.m. They'll be more eggs than ever at our annual Easter Egg Hunt in Wilder Park! Celebrate spring with the whole family, including the four-legged ones. Visit with the Easter Bunny and be ready for the hunt.
Elmhurst
- Doggie EGGstravaganza. 10:30 a.m. at Wilder Park. Prizes will be awarded for best doggie costume, including Best Dressed, Most Creative and Owner Lookalike, so make sure to dress for the occasion. Participate in the pet parade or get a picture with the Easter Bunny! The Doggie EGGstravaganza follows the Egg Hunt in Wilder Park at 10 a.m. Both are free of charge and no pre-registration is required. Presented by Edward-Elmhurst Health and The Schiller Team.
Hinsdale
- Easter Egg Hunt. 10:30 a.m. at Robbins Park. Bring your baskets, hunt for treats and visit with the Bunny. Festive spring crafts and entertainment will make this event fun for the whole family! This event will be held rain or shine. Areas will be divided by age group. All ages 11 and under are welcome.
Western Springs
- Easter Candy Hunt. 9 to 11 a.m. at Spring Rock Park. Face painting from 9-11 a.m. Candy hunt at 10 a.m. Bring your own bag or basket! Admission is free.
Lemont
- Easter Egg Hunt. 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School, 20W145 Davey Road, Lemont. The hunt will begin at 10 a.m. There will be activities going on before and after. All are welcome. This event is an open house-style and for all ages. This event will be held rain or shine. Please bring your baskets. Limit: 5 eggs per child.
