Eleven LHS Student Athletes Make College Commitments

The school held a ceremony for all the athletes last week, in the high school's Performing Arts Center.

LEMONT, IL — Last week, 11 Lemont High School student-athletes announced their commitments to play collegiately beginning in Fall 2024, according to a release from the school.

Athletes include baseball player Noah Tomaras; lacrosse player Sean Arundel; soccer players Emma Amberg and Casey Kittridge; softball players Alyssa DeMaio, Raegan Duncan, Rhea Mardjetko, Allison Pawlowicz, Ava Reed and Avaree Taylor; and volleyball player Cael Whitchurch.

The school held a ceremony for all the athletes last week, in the high school's Performing Arts Center. Typically, the school also holds a commitment ceremony to honor more athletes in the spring.

Students have committed to play their respective sports across the Midwest, including:

  • Soccer player Emma Amberg will play for Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin
  • Lacrosse player Sean Arundel will play for the University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Softball player Alyssa DeMaio will play for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • Softball player Raegan Duncan will play for Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville
  • Soccer player Casey Kittridge will play for Eastern Illinois University in Charleston
  • Softball player Rhea Mardjetko will play for Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington
  • Softball player Allison Pawlowicz will play for Loyola University in Chicago
  • Softball player Ava Reed will play for Lewis University in Romeoville
  • Softball player Avaree Taylor will play for Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri
  • Baseball player Noah Tomaras will play for the University of Missouri in St. Louis, Missouri
  • Volleyball player Cael Whitchurch will play for Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington
