Everest Academy Celebrates 30 Years of Faith, Learning, and Community

This fall marks a major milestone for Everest Academy as the school joyfully celebrates 30 years of Catholic education, academic excellence, and faith formation in Lemont. On September 8, 2025, Everest Academy will commemorate three decades of serving families in Lemont and the surrounding communities with a special celebration honoring its rich history and bright future.

Founded in 1995, Everest Academy began as a small school with a bold mission — to form Christian leaders by educating the whole child: mind, body, and spirit. Over the years, Everest has grown into a vibrant community rooted in the Catholic faith and dedicated to shaping students into leaders of virtue, service, and strong character.

“This anniversary is not just a celebration of our past,” said Mary Tellefsen, Executive Director of Everest Academy. “It’s a celebration of the families, faculty, and faithful supporters who have made Everest a place where children grow in faith and love of learning. We look forward to continuing this mission for many years to come.”

To mark the occasion, Everest Academy will host a school-wide Mass and celebration on September 8 at 1:30 p.m. The event will take place on the Feast of the Nativity of Mary, a fitting date for a school devoted to Our Blessed Mother.

All current families, alumni, and friends of the school are warmly invited to attend this special event and join the school in giving thanks for 30 incredible years of blessings.
