Fairway Farms Hosts Farm To Table Dinner In Lemont

LEMONT, IL — Cog Hill's culinary garden, Fairway Farms, will host its first Farm to Table Dinner on Aug. 16 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. The event will be held at Fairway Farms, and guests can register by calling the Farm Bureau at 708-354-3276.

According to the event website, the dinner includes a cocktail hour with seasonal garden-fresh cocktails and Pollyanna Dubs Delight beer, passed hors d'oeuvres, live local student jazz musicians and farm tours. There will then be a champagne toast, opening talks from the chefs, growers, and bureau members, with a 4-course plated dinner.

The dinner is a partnership between Fairway Farms and the Cook County Farm Bureau. The dinner is $96, and includes dinner, drinks, appetizers, tax and gratuity. Dinner cocktail hour begins at 5 p.m. and after checking in with staff, guests enjoy appetizers and cocktails. Seating for dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with a champagne toast, at open air tables set among the farm raised beds.

The dinner is for those 16 and older, according to the event website. Parking is located right next to the farm on Parker Road.

According to the event website, Fairway Farms began in 2017 and is a culinary farm providing produce, herbs, honey used in Cog Hill Golf kitchens, as well as collaborations with local breweries and restaurants.
