Fairway Gardens Partners With Pollyanna, Skeleton Key

A new beer will debut May 12 at Pollyanna Brewing Company and Skeleton Key Brewery which was brewed with the basil from Carmen's garden.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont resident Angelica Carmen has created and operates a sustainable garden, Fairway Farms, at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club. Everything grown in the garden is used in the kitchen at Cog Hill, and most recently Carmen has merged the garden with two local breweries.

A new beer will debut May 12 at Pollyanna Brewing Company and Skeleton Key Brewery which was brewed with the basil from Carmen's garden. The May 12 event will feature free shuttles between the breweries, food trucks and more. The event will run from 12 to 4 p.m.

Carmen said each brewery has made an identical Basil Blonde Ale, called "Dubs Delight," using the basil from Fairway Farms. Pollyanna will use Asian Kapoor Tulsi Basil and Skeleton Key will use Citrus Basil.
