Fall Open Space, Community Garden Work Day Planned Saturday
Earn community service hours & enjoy nature! While you're at the center don't forget to vote for your favorite scarecrow on our trail!
Volunteer work days include supervised groups lead by our prairie managers Pizzo & Associates.
Work will include seed collecting & clearing of invasive species.
Saturday October 15th
We meet at the community center 16300 Alba St. Hours: 8:30-11:00
gloves & tools are provided, Please dress appropriately for outdoor work.

A big thank you to all who have volunteered at the Township’s Heritage Woodland Sanctuary & I-Grow food pantry garden this season. Partners include Lemont Garden, Lions & Woman’s Clubs along with Lemont High & Old Quarry Middle Schools.
Earlier this Spring with the help of our Lemont Lions we added an educational Bee Habitat. This past week 6th-8th grade Old Quarry Students walked over for a visit with local bee keeper Mark Pawlak. Mark has been a great asset to this new educational program.
