Fifth Annual Jobs Fair Held In Lemont

LEMONT, IL — State Representative Jim Durkin and State Senator John Curran will the fifth annual jobs fair on July 25 in Lemont. The jobs fair will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the CORE, 16050 W. 127th St.

According to a release, there will be several free workshops including: Effective Search Strategies for State Employment (9 a.m. Pool Room), Networking and Navigating a Job Fair (10 a.m. Pool Room), Resumes and Cover Letters (11 a.m. Pool Room), Stand Out Resumes (9 a.m. Studio Room), Networking Your Way to a New Job (10 a.m. Studio Room) and Successful Interviewing (11 a.m. Studio Room).

“Providing resources and accessibility to employers at our annual jobs fair allows job seekers the opportunity to take advantage of all potential vacancies and speak to recruiters directly about their qualifications and job requirements,” Durkin said in a release. “With over 100 employers attending, job seekers will be able to expand their network, get their resumes into the hands of employers and secure interviews or fill out paperwork to strengthen their chances of securing new employment.”

“Our Jobs Fair is an excellent opportunity for job seekers to talk with people in their desired industry, make connections and set up interviews,” Curran said in a release. “All of the participating businesses have job openings and are eager to hire, so I encourage workers of all experience levels and skill sets to attend and bring their updated resumes.”
