First Fundraiser Held For Andrew Narro Memorial Scholarship
Proceeds will support the scholarship fund, which helps loved ones cover the expenses associated with substance abuse treatment and rehab.
LEMONT, IL — A fundraising event will be held May 11 for the Andrew Narro Memorial Scholarship. According to the organization, the event will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Bottles, 439 Talcott Ave., and all proceeds will support the scholarship fund, which helps loved ones cover the expenses associated with substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation.
The scholarship was created by Laura Rosch, Andrew's mother. According to the organization, Narro passed away in 2017 at the age of 21 following a battle with substance abuse. The immense pain of losing a child in this way led Rosch to do something to help families get their children and loved ones help before another life is lost, organizers said.
The first annual fundraiser at Bottles will feature a silent auction, live music and a split the pot raffle.
