Fleeing Police, Domestic Battery: Lemont Police Reports

Aug. 18

• Dominykas Merkelis, 25, of Lemont, was charged with two counts of driving while license suspended/revoked, fleeing/eluding a police officer, speeding 35 mph+ over the limit, two counts of operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no front registration plate following a traffic stop at 9:43 a.m. at State and Cass streets. Merkelis was issued a Sept. 14 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Aug. 21

• Jared Speer, 27, of Lemont, was charged with domestic battery at 4:41 a.m. following an incident in the 400 block of State Street. Speer was issued a Sept. 18 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
