The Forge: Lemont Quarries Opening Delayed
Due to the extension of the stay-at-home order and the coronavirus, the park has delayed its opening, which was expected to be late May.
LEMONT, IL — With the extension of the stay-at-home until May 30, The Forge: Lemont Quarries has postponed its opening date, but still plans to open this summer. The long-awaited outdoor adventure park was supposed to open Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25, but the stay-at-home order prevents the opening.
The park broke ground in 2019 and will offer a huge ropes course, mountain biking trails, ziplining and more. The park also has an outdoor concert space and plans to hold events like live music or film showings.
