Snow, Freezing Drizzle: Illinois Week-Ahead Weather

Temperatures will stay colder this week, and freezing drizzle is possible late Monday into Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service, freezing drizzle could start after midnight Monday and continue into Tuesday morning. Temps will remain fairly cold, and Monday has a high of 33 and Tuesday a high of 35.

Wednesday could be the only dry day, and will have a high of 33, the NWS said. Snow is possible both Thursday and Friday and temps will remain in the low 30s on both days.

Winter is definitely in full swing, and the Chicago area saw a few inches of snow on Saturday. According to the NWS, Ashkum in Iroquois County saw the most snow with 9.3 inches. In the Chicago suburbs, Naperville saw 4.8 inches, Burr Ridge had 4.3 inches, and Downers Grove had 4.1 inches of snow.

• WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19.
• THURSDAY: A slight chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32.

• FRIDAY: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30.
