Frigid 5K Returns Dec. 3 To Lemont Park District

LEMONT, IL — If you like running in the cold weather, the Lemont Park District's Frigid 5K may be for you.

The chilly run, which also encourages runners to wear their ugly holiday sweaters or holiday gear, will kick off at 8 a.m. on Dec. 3 at Centennial Park, 16028 127th St.

Online registration is open through Nov. 24. It is $45 if you register online; $55 if you register during packet pick-up on Nov. 28 or Nov. 29, and $65 if you register on race day.

Awards will be given to the top three runners in each standard age category, both men and women, according to the park district.

After the race, there will be a hot chocolate bar and refreshments.
