From the Archives: A Glimpse Into Lemont’s History

Lemont was – and still is – a town that loves to cheer for its football team.

The Lemont Area Historical Society (LAHS) has generously offered to share a photo with Patch readers each week, depicting people, places and things from the village’s storied past.

This week, the LAHS highlights a photo of the 1930 the Lemont Township High School Football team, which fielded only 11 players – a full roster unless somebody got hurt or was sick on game day.

The historical society invites readers to also share their photos of Lemont’s past, to be added to the LAHS archives.
