Get Your Tickets for Lemont's Appearance in the IHSA Football Semifinals

Tickets will be sold in advance of the game, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 19.

For the fifth time in eight years, Lemont High School’s football program will play for a berth in the state championship game. First-year head coach Bret Kooi’s undefeated Indians, who advanced thanks to their exciting 19-13 win at Richards in the quarterfinal round, will travel to Peoria Stadium to take on Peoria Notre Dame in an IHSA Class 6A Semifinal contest at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 22. The winner will advance to the IHSA Class 6A State Championship on Saturday, November 29. Lemont is seeking the third state finals appearance in the program’s history.

Lemont High School will sell tickets in advance of the game. Tickets will be available both in the Pupil Personnel Services and Athletic Office from noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Thursday, November 20, and Friday, November 21. Tickets are $6. Fans can avoid standing in long lines by purchasing their tickets in advance.

Fans who are unable to attend the game can watch the game live by clicking on the “Watch Live Sporting Events” link under the ‘Athletics’ tab on the school’s Web site, www.lhs210.net.

The Indians, who were playing in the quarterfinal round for the seventh time in eight seasons, pushed their winning streak to 12 games by holding on for the 19-13 win at Richards. Lemont finished as the IHSA Class 6A State Runner-Up in both 2007 and 2008, and made IHSA Class 6A Semifinal appearances in both 2011 and 2012.

Lemont and Peoria Notre Dame each were tabbed with No. 1 seeds in the IHSA Class 6A “South” Bracket, which was split into two eight-team groups due to geography. Peoria Notre Dame (12-0) topped visiting East St. Louis by a 49-27 count in its quarterfinal game.

Peoria Stadium is located at 315 E. War Memorial Drive in Peoria. For more information, contact Lemont High School’s athletic
