Giuliana Rancic Quits Anchor Role to Make Chicago Home
The lovable Rancic pair will soon call Chicago their permanent home.

E! News fans might be bummed, but Chicagoans will be happy to hear TV sweetheart Giuliana Rancic will soon call the city her permanent home.
Though she and husband Bill already own a home in Chicago, the two have split their time between it and their Los Angeles abode. (He’s also dabbled in suburban and city real estate.) Giuliana announced this week that she will leave the show’s spotlight in August. She’ll continue her commentary on Fashion Police and Live from the Red Carpet.
Rancic said her son was at the center of her decision to relocate to Chicago.

“Up until now, Duke’s been on our schedule. But he starts school at the end of summer and we want him to have a connection with schoolmates and not be going from city to city,” Giuliana said. “Bill and I both grew up in the suburbs. We love that sense of community. And I have loved Chicago ever since we started dating nine years ago.”
Bill Rancic grew up in Orland Park and graduated from Carl Sandburg High School. His wife was born in Italy but moved to the United States when she was 7 and grew up in suburban Maryland.
