GoFundMe Created For Memorial Bench In Lemont Dog Park

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Township is raising money for a memorial bench after the death of a member of the Central Bark Dog Park. Ed Werderits was a daily visitor to the dog park and led many groups and shared his love of dogs and life, the township said.
The township has created a GoFundMe to raise money for a bench that would encircle the large tree in the center of the park, which is something Werderits always talked about.
"This will be a wonderful reminder of a man who cared so deeply for his two and four legged friends," the township said.
