Golf Outing Relocated as Land Dispute Rages On
St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick's switches out its venue.

A school’s golf outing fundraiser has been moved, in response to a heated land dispute between Lemont and Palos Park.
St. Al’s / St. Pat’s announced last week that the Oct. 9 golf outing will now take place at Ruffled Feathers in Lemont, instead of Gleneagles Country Club.
An outing organizer told LemontILNews that their school has been part of Lemont since 1840 and that they’re displeased with the owners of Gleneagles seeking annexation by Palos Park.

“We have a 175-year history in Lemont and a long future ahead of us, we try to do business in town whenever possible,” the organizer said. “We are grateful to the staff at Ruffled Feathers for accommodating our outing.”
The “Celtic Open” is open to the public and more information can be found online.
