Dangerous Heat: 105-Degree Heat Index With Heat Advisory In IL
"Dangerously hot and humid" weather could hit Saturday, with a heat index of 106 in some places.
ILLINOIS — A heat advisory has been issued for the Chicago area as dangerously hot temperatures are expected on Saturday. The heat advisory has been issued for most of northern Illinois including Lake, McHenry, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Kendall, Grundy, Cook and Will counties from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service, heat index values near 105 are expected. The hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur. You should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room and stay out of the sun.

Strong storms are also possible Saturday night into Sunday, as a cold front moves into the area. Sunday will also be warm with a high of 91 degrees and heat index values up to 100, according to the weather service.
