Heat indices of up to 105 degrees are possible on Thursday and Friday.
ILLINOIS — A hot week is ahead for Illinois as heat index values rise over 100 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will be in the 90s all week, with heat index values between 100 and 105 on Thursday and Friday.
The weather service said there also could be widely scattered thunderstorms possible. There is a chance of thunderstorms starting Tuesday until the end of the week.
