Hope and Friendship Foundation brings Salvation Army Stop-It here

Hope and Friendship Foundation brings Salvation Army Stop-It Outreach to Lemont Police Dept to communicate how our community can help

Hope and Friendship brings Salvation Army's "STOP-IT" Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative to Lemont on Thur Sept 20th 6:30-8- Lemont Police Dept Training Room

What is human trafficking? Is it here? How can we make a difference? Can
we Stop-It? Does our child's social media activity put them at risk?

As one of the most lucrative businesses worldwide; huge profits are being
made through the exploitation and dehumanization of others. We will be
learning about where human trafficking is taking place in our society,
what signs to look for, and what to do when a human trafficking
situation is identified. We invite your presence at this community
event, as we seek to raise awareness about this important issue.
Information will be available for those who wish to join Salvation
Army's effort in assisting with the "STOP-IT" Initiative. I hope we
will join together to make ourselves as aware that we can be of the
signs, red flags, and potential victims and situations that are
occurring in our area.

We must not feel as if Human Trafficking only occurs outside of our
arm's reach. Recently the Cook County Sheriff's Dept was involved in
yet another sex trafficking bust. Is your child aware of the signs and
dangers around them and online with them?
