Community Corner

Hope and Friendship Founder invites community to join Team Hope in helping Samaritan's Purse in Kankakee

Terri ONeill-Borders is rallying a team to join the clean up efforts in Kankakee, IL under the direction of Samaritan's Purse.

My heart has always ached for those who are suffering. That has led me on the path to be who and where I am today. I have been trained in crisis and disaster response for the past 20+ years and I have been able to put that to work on many crisis and disaster situations. With each opportunity to arrive and serve, including Joplin, Moore, Coal City, and Washington, IL, I have been able to do what we are called to do...serve others, bring love, light and hope everywhere you go.
With that purpose and passion being said, I will be leading a team once again with Samaritan’s Purse U.S. Disaster Relief.

In 2013, 22 of us arrived in Washington, IL and offered our hands, feet and hearts to those who had suffered unimaginable disaster and loss.
I had a call from Samaritan's Purse this morning and I took the leap and have committed to bring "Team Hope" to Kankakee, IL on Friday March 20th and work under the direction of Samaritan's Purse.
