Hope and Friendship rallies volunteers for final 2017 Summer Mission Stay Saturday

For the past 6 years we have been putting hands, feet and hearts to work in helping those within our corner of the world with a bit of Mission Work by completing yard work that they are unable to do on their own. Saturday August 19th will be our last Summer Mission Stay (we do a fall Mission Stay in mid November!). We do need those who can work on weeds and who can cook a monster chocolate chip cookie!! See below!

**Aug 19- Final Summer Mission Stay Saturday + Care Box Create/Delivery Day- meeting at the Lemont Police Station at 8am- Two teams of volunteers needed: yard work team and care box making and delivery team.

Items sought for Care Boxes:
* baked good sorted in Ziploc bags to fill Care Boxes/Shoe Boxes
*encouraging notes to be packed in the care box for home bound, those
who are experiencing difficult times, and notes for our Fire and Police
Officers
* Drop off donations
to the Lemont Police Dept between 8-8:30am on Saturday morning or bring
with you if you are able to help. If you would like to drop donations
off on Friday email me to set up a time/place.
* volunteers needed to sort, create and deliver care boxes beginning at 8am, most likely finished by 10am

Yard Team/Weed Warriors:
Come ready to put your hands, feet and hearts to work in yards of friends
who need this gift. We mow, weed, trim bushes/trees, clean up the yards
and lift spirits! Bring your yard tools of preference to use. Email
me with any questions. We meet at 8am at the Police Dept and roll out
by 8:15am in a caravan to the homes. We have 3 homes on the job list for this day and I hope to finish every one of them and leave them looking amazing!

I have seen more smiles and more gifts of grace given this summer than
any of my past 11 years of summer outreaches. I thank you for joining
me in understanding and meeting the needs that are right here right now
