Inch Of Snow Expected Friday Night: Local Forecast
Most of the suburbs will see around an inch of snow on Friday night into Saturday.

Most of the Chicagoland area will see some snow Friday night, with flurries continuing in Saturday. It seems like winter is finally sticking around, as the chance for snow will return again on Monday. According to the National Weather Service, snow will start between 7 to 10 p.m. for the northern suburbs, 8 p.m. to midnight for Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, and between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. for the far southern suburbs.
Snow will amount to 1-2 inches in most areas, and snow-covered roads could impact travel, the NWS said. According to the NWS' Hazardous Outlook, snowfall amounts will range from an inch or less south of a line from Belvidere to Joliet to Rensselaer. Up to 1 to 2 inches is possible north of that line by Saturday morning.
