They protect and serve at great sacrifice and often become the victims themselves. Monday’s tornadoes tore through Coal City, mangled homes, creating chaos and loss. Those who were and are on duty to respond suffered as well, yet continued and continue to put other’s needs before their own.

Coal City Fire Dept: 12 responders suffered major damage to their homes; 2 lost everything; Station 2 suffered great damage

Coal City Police Dept: 3 officers, 1 Sergeant & retired Chief all suffered major damages to their homes.

Donations of funds can also be offered via PayPal at www.hopeandfriendshipfoundation.com designate “Coal City Responder’s Fund”

Donations of personal care items can be dropped off at any of the following bins located Lemont Township lobby, Lemont Police Dept lobby, Starbucks, US Bank & Starbucks.
