July 4th Fireworks 2022 Near Lemont

LEMONT, IL — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Lemont so you can start planning now.

What: Independence Day Extravaganza
Where: Centennial Park, 16028 W 127th St.
When: Begins at 4 p.m., fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

Featuring DJ, food vendors, beer booth, kid's zone, kid's entertainment and ending in a fireworks show. The Lemont Park District is also hosting several other events as part of Freedom Days 2022, including:

  • June 26 - All-American Swim, a free pool party at Centennial Pool from 12 to 5 p.m.
  • June 27 - Kite Fly, a free event at Centennial Park from 6 to 8 p.m. Bring your own kites to fly.
  • June 28 - Movie in the Park, "Sing 2" at 7 p.m. at Northview Park.
  • June 30 - Tribute to Our Veterans, 6 p.m. at Legion Park, 111 Main St. Featuring brats and beer. Free for active and retired military, all participants must register in advance.
  • July 1 - Free to Be Fit Friday, an open house event at The CORE all day.

What: Fireworks At Dellwood Park
Where: Dellwood Park, Route 171 and Woods Drive, Lockport
When: Fireworks show will begin at dusk.

What: 3rd Of July Fireworks
Where: Three simultaneous shows at Lukancic Middle School, Volunteer Park and Discovery Park in Romeoville.
When: Fireworks shows will begin at 9:30 p.m.
The Village will hold three fireworks shows to allow residents to view from their homes. Choreographed music will be available on Star 96.7 FM radio.
