Middle School can be a difficult time in which students try to fit in, but at the same time they begin shaping their future identities. Three young ladies at OQMS took a chance to make the school a more kind and compassionate place and started Kindness Krew with the help of 7th grade social worker Ms. Sullivan. The Kindness Krew is a club where students can have fun and socialize with kids their age. The club aims to help make everyone smile during the school day. For instance, one day the Kindness Krew made positive post-it notes for every student locker. The next day smiles appeared on many students as they received their positive affirmations. The club also wrote thank you notes to each teacher and on May 23rd they will host an end of the year party that is open to all students. The Kindness Krew hopes to gain momentum next school year and become a full time club at OQMS. We are proud of the founding members: Resse Herold, Ella Detres and Amanda Bechlofft!
