'Kops-N-Kidz' Night A Success: Lemont Police Chief

The event was held Aug. 8 in conjunction with the weekly car show in downtown Lemont.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Police Chief Marc Maton thanked the community for making this year's "Kops-N-Kidz" cruise night a success. The event was held Aug. 8 in conjunction with the weekly car show in downtown Lemont.

"As always, I was overwhelmed by how much support we received from our community. This event is only possible because of the support of our local businesses and volunteers. We were able to positively impact the children of our community," Maton said in a release.

Maton also thanked police officers, staff and volunteers for assisting with the event. He also thanked Mayor John Egofske, the Lemont Village Trustees, the Lemont Park District, Lemont Fire Protection District, Lemont Public Works, Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association, Lemont Police Department Cadets, Cub Scout Troops #149 and #249, Girl Scouts SU#724, sponsors, and all the Law Enforcement agencies that came out to participate.
