Labor Day Weekend Weather: 80s, Chance Of Storms For IL
Strong storms are possible Sunday morning, with a threat of hail and gusty winds.
ILLINOIS — A fairly warm Labor Day weekend is in store, although there are some chances for storms, including possibly strong storms on Sunday. Temperatures for the entire weekend look to be in the 80s, with a high of 84 on Saturday and Sunday and a high of 85 on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
There's a possibility of some light rain on Saturday morning, and then another chance for rain and storms late Saturday night into Sunday. The weather service said these storms could become strong to marginally severe, with hail and gusty winds.
There is also a chance of storms on Monday, mainly north of Interstate 80. The weather service said thunderstorm chances are expected to continue through the middle of the week.
