Lemon Tree Owner Debunks Rumor of Closing
The local restaurant isn't going anywhere, owner says.
Recent whisperings of a local restaurant’s closing are just that—rumors.
Lemon Tree, located at 1035 State St., has been in business in Lemont for roughly 30 years, and they’re hoping for just as many more. Owner Nick Basdas said he’s not sure where the rumor started, but it’s completely false.
“We hope to be here for many more years,” Basdas said.

He hopes to hand the business—known for its sub sandwiches and homemade butter garlic fries—down through future generations.
