Lemont Athletic Hall Of Fame Induction Set For Sept. 17
This year, the hall of fame's 17th induction class will be the 2009, 2010 and 2011 cheerleading teams, and Lauren Dentzman '06.

LEMONT, IL — The newest members of Lemont High School’s Athletic Hall of Fame will be introduced at a ceremony on Sept. 17 at Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont, according to a release from the school. This year, the hall of fame’s 17th induction class will be the 2009, 2010 and 2011 cheerleading teams, and Lauren Dentzman ‘06.
The 2023 Lemont High School Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony will begin with a reception at noon. Lunch will be served at 12:45 p.m., with the induction ceremony beginning at approximately 1:30 p.m. Cog Hill Golf Club is located at 12294 S. Archer Avenue in Lemont.
Tickets are $25 each ($10.50 for children) and cover the cost of lunch; reservations must be made through the Lemont High School Athletic Department by Monday. To make a reservation, call the athletic department at 630-243-3207.

The Lemont High School Athletic Hall of Fame was first established in 2004, and provides an opportunity for the school to recognize alumni, coaches, parents and community members for outstanding athletic accomplishments and extraordinary support, the school said.
Lemont High School is seeking nominations for potential future Athletic Hall of Fame inductees. Nominations are accepted in one of four categories - Athlete, Coach, Parent/Community Member or Pride of Lemont. All nominees must be of good character, reflecting the qualities and ideals set forth in the school’s Athletic Code of Conduct, the school said.

Nominees in the ‘Athlete’ category are not eligible for induction to the Athletic Hall of Fame until five years after their graduation from the school. Hall of Fame nomination materials may be obtained by contacting the school’s Athletic Office at 630-243-3207, and may be downloaded from the “Athletics” page on the school’s website, www.lhs210.net.

Lauren Dentzman ‘06 – Four-time all-conference athlete in girls’ cross country (2002-05)... three-time IHSA Sectional qualifier in cross country (2003-05)... holds the school record for 2.5 mile run (15:52)... four-year all-conference athlete in girls’ track and field (2003-06)... four-time all-conference performer in the 1600-meter run (2003-06)... conference champion in the 1600-meter run in 2005... four-time all-conference performer in the 3200-meter run (2003-06)... held the school record in the 3200-meter run... IHSA Class AA State Qualifier in the 3200-meter run in 2004... competed in cross country and track and field at Saint Xavier University... qualified for three NAIA Indoor National Championships... qualified for four NAIA Outdoor National Championships... placed fifth and earned All-America honors in the indoor mile run in 2010... helped the 4x800 meter relay team to a sixth-place finish and All-America honors at the 2011 NAIA Outdoor Championship... part of three 4x800 meter relay national qualifiers... five-time national qualifier as an individual (mile run, 1500-meter run, 3000-meter run)... two-time NAIA National Qualifier in cross country... named Saint Xavier University’s 2010 Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
2009, 2010 and 2011 cheerleading teams – All three teams won IHSA Medium Division State Championships under head coach Brittany Glowa... the 2009 squad won the South Suburban Conference-Blue Division Championship and captured an IHSA Sectional crown... the 2009 team also became the first in school history – male or female – to win an IHSA state title... the 2010 squad captured SSC Blue and IHSA Sectional titles in addition to repeating as the state champion... the 2011 team won the program’s fifth straight SSC Blue crown before becoming the first team to win three IHSA Medium Division State Championships... Lindsay Bromberek and Nicole May became the first Lemont student-athletes to be part of three IHSA State Champion teams... Alyssa Baffoe, Sarah Clancy, Amber D’Andrea, Katelyn Howe, Alexandra Lyewski, Emily Marzo, Keara McGraw, Paige Rallis, Kelsey Wall, Katherine Wallace and Crystal Wohead all were members of two state champion squads... Brittany Glowa became the second coach to win three IHSA Cheerleading State Championships.
