Lemont Boy Scout Completes Eagle Scout Project
Lemont Boy Scout, Christopher Walker, completed his Eagle Scout Project.
LEMONT, IL — Lemont Boy Scout Chris Walker recently completed his Eagle Scout Project by putting lattice structures in the planter boxes at River Valley and Oakwood schools. The schools have a gardening club which will benefit from the project.
According to a release, the Eagle Scout Project is the opportunity for a Boy Scout to demonstrate leadership of others while also performing a project for the benefit of his community. It is considered the culmination of the scout's leadership training.
In addition to the lattice structures that Walker put up, he also put mulch around all of the garden planters. This increases the appeal of the garden, and also the ability to plant in the garden.
