Lemont Cop On A Rooftop: Where To See Officers

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Police officers will once again participate in "Cop on a Rooftop." The 16th annual Dunkin' Donuts "Cop On a Rooftop" event supports and raises money for the law enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois.

B96 radio will also be at the Dunkin Donuts in Lemont and will do a remote broadcast from 5:30 to 10 a.m. in conjunction with the Cop on a Rooftop event.

The department said Lemont officers and members of the Lemont Police Academy Alumni Association will be at both Lemont Dunkin' Donuts, at Archer and Derby Road, and at State and 127th Street, from 6 a.m. to noon on May 18.

Chief Marc Maton will be "exiled" to the roof of the Derby Road Dunkin' Donuts, the department said.

You can stop by and make a donation to the Torch Run event and receive a coupon for a free donut. If you donate $10 or more, you will receive a Torch Run travel mug. The mug can be filled at Dunkin' Donuts for free on the day of the event.
