Lemont Cop On A Rooftop: Where To See Officers

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Police Department will participate in Cop on a Rooftop on Friday, May 17. The annual event benefits Special Olympics Illinois, and officers will sit on the roof of Dunkin' Donuts to raise awareness and funds for the cause.

Lemont police officers will be at both Lemont Dunkin' Donuts locations at 12371 Derby Lane and at 15629 W. 127th St. The event runs from 5 a.m. to noon. You can come out and help get the Lemont police officers off the roof by donating to Special Olympics Illinois and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

According to Special Olympics Illinois, more than 310 locations across Illinois will be participating in this year's event with the goal of surpassing last year's total of more than $871,000 raised.
