Lemont Couple Welcomes First Baby Of 2023 At Advocate Good Samaritan

LEMONT, IL — A Lemont couple welcomed the first baby born at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in 2023.

Lopa and Aashish Vyas welcomed baby Aalora at 12:37 a.m. on Jan. 1, according to a release from Advocate Health Care. Aalora was the first baby born at area Advocate Health Care hospitals, which include Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin and Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Aalora is 6 pounds 10 ounces, and 18 inches long, according to the hospital. She has one brother, who paid her a visit in the hospital.
