Lemont Creates Website For 150th Anniversary
A special celebration is planned June 10 to celebrate the anniversary of incorporation.
LEMONT, IL — The Village of Lemont was first incorporated on June 9, 1873; so this year marks the 150th anniversary of the Village.
In celebration of the anniversary, the Village has created a website, Lemont150.com. The website shares different bits of history about Lemont, as well as a calendar of local events.
The 150th anniversary will be tied into several Lemont events this year, but there is also a special celebration planned for June 10, which will be the main celebration.

The event will include an old-fashioned street fair on Front Street, with family-friendly activities and cultural flare, according to the Village.
