Lemont D113A Urgently Looking For School Bus Drivers

LEMONT, IL — In a letter to the community, D113A Superintendent Anthony McConnell said the District has an urgent need for school bus drivers.

"Ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of our students is a top priority for us," McConnell shared. "It is with regret, however, that we must inform you that our school district is still facing a critical shortage of bus drivers."

McConnell said the shortage is a nationwide issue for school districts.

New drivers at District 113A start at $20 per hour, with paid training. There is also a $2,000 sign-on bonus. There are higher pay rates for drivers with experience.

"Becoming a bus driver for our school district offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to our community," McConnell said.
