Lemont District 113A Closed Wednesday, Thursday

LEMONT, IL — District 113A has announced it will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 30 and Thursday, Jan. 31 due to the forecasted extreme cold. The district said school will be in session on Jan. 29, but after school activities will be canceled.

In order to assist SD113A families who need childcare support, the Champions program will be open at the River Valley campus on Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for daycare purposes. You can enter at Door # 24 and provide a lunch that is peanut, tree nut and Nutella- free. Snacks and extended activities will be provided. If you are not currently enrolled with Champions, your child is welcome to join the Champions program during school closure day. The inclement weather days will be made up at the end of the year during the scheduled emergency days as outlined on the school calendar.

"Moving forward, we are beginning to explore E-Learning options, and we will continue to keep you posted on this idea as it progresses in the future," the district said.
